Beginning her career as a sought-after FHM model, in 2002. In 2003 Sian was national cover girl for 'Pole Position Magazine, selling over 40,000 copies. Sian went on to captivating audiences as a Miss England Finalist in 2008 for her hometown Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.
Taking her crown to empowering, coaching and mentoring 13 young ladies in Miss Grimsby 2013, for the prestigious Miss World brand.

With an unyielding spirit and an innate sense of purpose, she set her sights on studying law, recognising it as a powerful tool for effecting positive change and securing a brighter future for herself and her daughter. Sian's journey exemplifies the transformative power of love, determination, and the unwavering pursuit of one's dreams, inspiring others to overcome obstacles and forge their own path to success. Sian graduated Trafford College in Manchester with distinction. Sian knows the power women and single mothers have within, advocating the importance of educated women, despite their current situations, trials or tribulations, it is possible to expand our education to climb the ladder of success, beating all odds of hardship, social position or background.

Recognising the importance of honing her skills, Sian attended a one-day professional skills course for aspiring barristers at BPP University School of Law, further solidifying her commitment to mastering the craft of advocacy.

In 2017, drawing upon her legal expertise as a law student at Manchester University School of Law and her experience as a fashion brand owner, Sian Gissing-McMeel orchestrated a transformative public speaking event in Sale, Manchester, in collaboration with Women's Aid. Recognising the intersectionality of law, empowerment, and personal agency, Sian curated an event aimed at empowering women to reclaim their power and seize control of their lives. Through a blend of legal insights, personal anecdotes, and practical advice, she offered attendees invaluable tools to navigate legal complexities, assert their rights, and break free from cycles of abuse. Sian's event not only provided crucial legal education but also fostered a sense of community and solidarity among participants, inspiring them to embark on their journey towards autonomy and self-empowerment. By leveraging her multifaceted background and passion for justice, Sian catalyzed positive change and emboldened women to step into their own strength and resilience.Transitioning seamlessly into the realm of public service, Sian became a dedicated local parish councillor, where she tirelessly advocated for the needs of her constituents. Simultaneously, she pursued her legal education at Manchester University, where her academic prowess was matched only by her commitment to empowering her peers. Voted as a student representative and serving as a student peer mentor, Sian's leadership qualities shone brightly as she guided and supported her fellow students through their academic journeys.

“The reason why I decided to start this campaign is because when I needed help the most, there was no support at a local level, so I decided to create the help I needed, so other women would not have to experience the pain and suffering in silence like I had experienced"
