3. What is a paralegal and a legal consultant?
A paralegal is professionally trained in legal procedures, documentation, and client support. A legal consultant consults on legal matters, helping individuals understand, navigate, and develop strategies for legal problems and act on their rights without necessarily engaging a solicitor. They ensure that their legal problem has a legal solution and that a lawful remedy or corrective justice is applied.
4. What is a McKenzie Friend?
A McKenzie Friend supports people in court by helping with documents, taking notes, and offering quiet guidance. While they cannot speak on your behalf, they are essential for many clients representing themselves in court. Read the 'Practice Guidance: McKenzie Friend' set out by the Courts and Tribunals Service HERE.
5. Can you help with general life events like marriage, death, or financial struggles?
Yes — we support individuals and families through birth, marriage, work, death, and everything in between. Whether it’s a name change, a prenuptial agreement, a will, a court dispute, or debt recovery, we provide clear, compassionate legal assistance through consultation solutions to help you navigate and solve your legal problem.
6. Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. We offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you understand your options and how we can support you. Schedule via our Contact Page or by emailing us directly at info@accesstojusticeforfamilies.com
7. What are your fees?
We offer clear, affordable pricing for all services. Fees vary depending on the complexity of your issue, and we’ll always provide a transparent quote before you commit to anything. Our standard Consultancy Fee is £50.00 per hour, including VAT.
8. Do you offer remote services?
Yes. We serve clients throughout the UK and internationally via phone, email, and video call. Most of our consultancy work and document preparation can be done entirely remotely.
9. Are my details and case kept confidential?
